Having been a keen amateur photographer for a number of years, my research looks at the legal implications of photography and the impact of the visual image on law. I was inspired to research this area after teaching sailing to a primary school, whose teacher asked the parents not to take photographs of the children learning due to Data Protection Law. Intrigued by this approach this encouraged me to look into this further, and eventually led to a PhD on the subject. I very much hope that through this blog I will be able to share my passion for both law and photography (with probably a bit of sailing mixed in too!)
